Celebrating on the mound after clinching the NL Central at GABP

What a season, right? Our very own Cincinnati Reds - the oldest team in MLB – are heading back to the playoffs (second time in three years). With a 6-0 win over the Dodgers on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Great American Ball Park, we clinched the NL Central. Even better, we have secured home field advantage for the NLDS, which starts this weekend.

Before we sit back under the bright lights of October ball, let’s relive the wonderful day known as Clinchmas. Scouring the internet for Reds pics following that win was pretty easy. Every Facebook post, Tweet or Instagram pic was seemingly Reds related.

CLINCHMAS — THE SWEET TASTE OF VICTORY

Not sure if this is from Clinchmas but I like it nonetheless. Scottie is a proven leader on the team. #baller (pic via @baseball_photos)

THE CHERRY ON TOP (THE PROVERBIAL ONE, OF COURSE)

Homer getting the victory hug after nine innings of no hit ball.

On Friday, Sept. 28 Homer Bailey threw a no-hitter against the Pirates at PNC Park. It was the first Reds no hitter since Tom Browning threw a perfect game on Sept. 16, 1998 against the Dodgers.

October baseball here we come. GO REDS!!
