Kenwood Country Club
March 13, 2011
I think I just witnessed the future leaders of Cincinnati… if not America. On behalf of the Help Me Grow program provided by Lighthouse Youth Services, Creative Tots hosted a fashion show at Kenwood Country Club with some of the cutest kids in the Tri-State.
Hey Tyra, no need to search out winners for cycles 54-57 on America’s Next Top Model, they’ve been spied right here.
Of course some of the kids were a little shy on the runway but that only served to boost the OMG/AHH factor while others had a natural swag that they brought to the show. Along with the spirited youths, audience members were delighted by the fashion—special thanks to Castle House and The Wardrobe. Proud to say I’ve bought dresses from both stores!
And let’s not forget the reason for the occasion all together. Creative Tots, a preschool in Madeira, is the “creative” genius behind the whole event. It was entirely their idea to have a children’s fashion show and donate the proceeds to charity.
The two owners of Creative Tots, Lynn Carson and Manda Thornton, developed the school with this mission in mind—to teach their students about compassion and giving back. Not only was this fashion show a fun thing for the children at Creative Tots to participate in, but it was part of a broader lesson about helping others. In addition to being the models in the show, the Creative Tots students took part in a diaper drive and donated over 160 packages of diapers, wipes and cream to the Help Me Grow program.

Beyond the entertainment of the fashion show, guests of the event enjoyed taking a peak at some beautiful items on display from local vendors along with a sit down luncheon.
