Summer in the Queen City is HOT. And what I mean by hot is sweating upon standing outside kind of hot. That’s why the best way to soak up your time in the dog days of summer is with the handsome Marco Polo or a few energetic sharks and minnows. However, what about those who don’t have access or supervision to hit up the local pool and find that lucky penny in the deep end?
On Sunday, August 5th a group of young professionals from ACTout teamed up with the Cincinnati Police & Fire Departments and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission to make a splash with hundreds of kids living in Over the Rhine when they turned the Lincoln Community Center into a FREE water park, complete with a three-story water slide and other larger than life activities.
Although back to school is just around the corner there’s still time for ice cream sandwiches and flips off the diving board. Just remember, even though it can be miserably hot that’s better than the alternative… WINTER… UGH.
