Paul has been involved with the ATP tennis tournament since 1974 when he took over as tournament director of what was then the Western Tennis Championships. Through name changes, financial hardships, and facility developments, Paul has built the annual event into a world class event. The tournament, which benefits Children’s Hospital Medical Center, has even taken on Paul’s personality, a fan-friendly event with as much enthusiasm from the players as well.
