For the mild winter we’ve been having, go figure the Cupid’s Undie Run (CUR) fell on what had to be the coldest day of 2012. At a freezing 20 degrees, it’s safe to say it was a bit nippy outside. Thankfully that did not stop over 300 hundred eager runners from participating in the first annual CUR, an event that began in Washington DC three years ago and has now spread to five other cities including Cincinnati. The event benefits the Children’s Tumor Foundation and with checks still arriving, the total amount raised (from all of the runs combined) will be just over $300,000. Cincinnati contributed about $35,000. Give yourselves a nice pat on the back.

Cristy and Matthew were the first female and male runners to finish the 1.1 mile course. Big props!

we want some more… we want some more
After the race people gathered at Longworth’s to warm up their insides. Although there are 364 days until next year’s Valentine’s Day, I get the feeling Cupid will be back and better than ever.
