Special honoree Milt Kantor with his grandchildren

The Who: Milton Kantor, honoree and philanthropist

The What: Milt has helped countless others raise funds for their non-profits by calling on his many friends in the sports world. On Wednesday, June 13th, many of those same friends helped honor him for his 85th birthday. The 500-strong fundraiser, benefitted Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Cris Collinsworth was the emcee while famed Coach Bobby Knight gave the keynote speech. Sports legends Oscar Robertson, Bob Huggins and Dolph Schayes also spoke.

The Where: The Manor House

Bobby Knight was once quoted as saying, “The will to succeed is important, but what’s more important is the will to prepare.” If anyone best represents that quote, then it would most certainly be Milt Kantor. He’s proven, even at 85 years young, preparation is a key propeller to success.
